Step 6 - How to read and understand advanced reports (ShinyStat™ Business)
Campaign referrers
How does one go about verifying how successful your online ad campaigns have been?
In the report "Campaign Referrers" you can see how many clicks and visits result from your online ad campaigns, properly set up using ShinyStat™ (see Campaigns from parameters and Campaigns from domains).
Chart
The pie chart shows the percentage distribution of all visits resulting from active campaigns, among those which have been properly set up using ShinyStat™.
Table
In every line of the table you will find the following data:
you can verify for each Campaign the user referrer, ie. the URL of the partner sites where you ad was seen and clicked.
Clicking instead on the "Day-by-day" icon
you can access the report that shows the trend of clicks and visits resulting from the specific campaign in the selected time period.
Watch Out! The system keeps track of the traffic resulting from a campaign if and only if:
Bounce Rate
The Bounce Rate, in connection with a traffic source, helps you in understanding the possible reactions of users when arriving on your site from a particular campaign (banner, mail, link, or Pay Per Click).
A high Bounce Rate could be due to a gap between the landing page and the expectations that an ad in the site or in a promotional campaign has generated in the user.
The Pages report (Pages) lets you see in detail which pages have a higher "Bounce Rate" for a specific source, providing you with a useful set of statistics to figure out what are the problems for your visitors and optimize your investment.
For more information about Bounces, please take a look at the page called: Bounces - Bounce Rate
Attention! Bounces and Bounce Rate are available since July 2010.
